About the Blog

SE Asia 2007 918

At Halong Bay, Vietnam

This blog was set up as a way for me to contact my family and friends while I travel, and keep them up on what I was doing.

I started out as a Peace Corps volunteer, and then as a  field caseworker for the US refugee program in northern Thailand after the Vietnam War in the 1970’s.  I still travel to Southeast Asia (especially Thailand) every year to visit friends and former coworkers and students. I love SE Asia and I feel very comfortable there! It is my second “home.”

This blog is for anyone who loves travel, loves to wander and loves SE Asia in particular. I hope you enjoy the journey!

Paul
